Blogger Buddies

Just a quick post about some changes to my blog roll.  First, be sure to check out Hun's Summer of 2007, a blog from a friend of mine who is a professor of Religious Studies at Warren Wilson College (which is technically a university, I think, because I just saw something about MFA programs on their website).  He's in China and Tibet this summer travelling with some students.  You must check out the photos of the black hat dance at Drikung Thil, the Drikung lineage head monastery in Tibet.  He also has a growing personal website.  Check out the links.

There's also Buddhism Blogs and News, an interesting site with feeds from different Buddhist blogs and news sources.  I just discovered that I'm part of their feed.  Thanks for that!

There's also Tengu House.  "Tengu" are mountain deamons in Japan, with red faces and long noses.  If I recall correctly, they also have wings and carry swords, but I can't quite remember.  In any case, another interesting blog.  He has a page dedicated to missing children and is a member of Fo Guan Shan, the Buddhist order that founded University of the West, the university I attend.

Also check out Budding Buddhist, by "Edamommy."  A fellow Libra, her blog includes interesting video clips and mini-posts about her explorations and discoveries in the world of Buddhism.

Last but not least, another recent addition to my blog roll is The Universe is all in Your Head, by Kalsang Dorje, a Canadian blogger.  Go Canucks! Did I spell that right?   Anyway, he blogs on his personal Dharma practice and also includes video clips, like the post he has up now of a monk chanting the Vajrasattva mantra.

There are too many blogs to mention, but these are the most recent additions, so check out the one's at left.

Hey, thanks for the shout-out! Looking for ways to attract more folks to Tengu House, because posting Missing Child Alerts doesn't help much if no one sees them.

Also in the news, I mentioned in a comment to another post, but I don't know if you saw it, that I met a friend of yours from UWest, here in Houston. Small world, no?

Sweet! Thanks for the tips.

Scruffy--

I did read your previous message. Didn't you say you met a nun from UWest? I forget who, but please say hi from me.

As for the missing child page, I'll have to link directly to that.

No not a nun, a student who knows you. You helped her with her English.

Anyway, the missing children page, you might want to hit National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at www.missingkids.com. You can localize to highlight missing children from your area, as I've done.

I was honored by the mention - thanks! ^_^ This was an interesting post - lots of new links to check out!
